  • Installation
  • Painter

Art is part of my life, of expressing myself, my thoughts and ideas, it is a way of communicating with others. With my paintings I try to create a theatre where the viewer is invited to participate. I grew up in Austria; in the medieval town of Graz where storytelling, symbolism and the heaviness of European history were a daily influence throughout the early stages of my life.
After gaining a BA, I took the love of storytelling and symbolism with me to Australia, where I arrived in 1995 and since have also become a citizen. I have studied Fine Art at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney as well as at Latrobe College of Art and Multimedia in Melbourne, where I finished with a Diploma in 2004 and went on to study at RMIT University in Melbourne, where I finished a Master of Fine Art, in 2008.
