A series of Art exhibition posters - original lithographs, silkscreens and offset reproductions. All were designed and produced to advertise artists' exhibitions in Australia and Europe in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
During the 19th and 20th centuries, events were often publicised using wall posters, rather than small flyers. Vintage art, travel, fashion, product, entertainment etc posters have become collectable and some are extremely valuable, particularly if scarce. Many artists and galleries advertised art exhibitions with posters created by different printing techniques. Usually the artist was responsible for the design, supervision and production, [sometimes by hand] of a small number. The image chosen was representative of the whole exhibition. Note: Gallery closed July for winter recess.
