Born: 1976 Sydney
Bio: Troy-Anthony Baylis is an Aboriginal artist of the Jawoyn nation, Katherine NT. His practice is divided by and inclusive of a performing body triumvirate: Kaboobie (kylieminologist, same-sex attracted drag queen, camel and showgirl), Barbara Cartland (crusader in pink, progressive political activist and singer) and Ricky Mortis (dead). Baylis' work (re)presents notions of drag (cultural and gender), landscape, and home. He is also a curator, writer, and multi-arts and cultural events producer.
