Ron Radford says if he had enough money he'd buy a Kandinsky. If you were director of the National Gallery what would you spend $35 million on?

To save us all having to go to Canberra, bring the art to the people. $35 million would pay for many travelling exhibitions.

The NGA is soooo drab. Lets get Jeff Koons in to reclad the exterior - a la Puppy.

Personally I would do amazing things with this amount of money. On to answer the current question but it would be better spent on local artists and enhancing parts of the city with various art works, media for all to enjoy.

35 Million.
I would have an exhibition of American Abstraction Expressionism, Gesture and Ecriture including:
Pollock, Rothko,De kooning,Joan Mitchell,Twomby,Ryman, lasker, Reed, Basquiat, Warhol etc.
That would be my dream to see all these works together.

Hello. I think the 87 Jules Pascin watercolors I own with the publishing rights attached are a much better deal and I would take 35 million for them..Lol.
