Samantha was born in Sydney, to American migrants parents who had travelled with her four older siblings to Australia for adventure and a new way of life. You could say that spirit of adventure persists in all creative enterprises that Samantha strives for, but as a young woman she was given the added benefit of experience in commerce and retail, working for highly motivated and interesting people in her parents beautiful retail shop in the heart of Melbourne.

Growing up in an atmosphere achieved thru dedication and strong work ethics, Samantha learned as a young girl the value of hard work and persistence. These values present themselves in her honest and original approach to her art and design, no matter what medium. Experimenting with large, bold, in your face pastels on canvas as a teenager, she persisted with a vision and strived to present her work as cheeky and colourful, and has achieved a rare sense of confidence in one so young.

Starting out as café conversation pieces, Samantha’s bold canvases of playful women and men delighted her admirers and established a working base that quickly grew into commissioned pieces of art not only for clients in Australia, but that included New York and London. From a small studio in Chapel Street, she was soon showing her work in numerous galleries throughout Australia including Forbes art gallery in N.S.W and Territory Colours in Darwin.

As well as being a young working mother of two up- and- coming Picasso’s, and establishing her name and style, she is currently studying at R.M.I.T (Studio Textile Design) to extend her work thru textiles, majoring in Screen print and Weave. Her prints, which have been popular over the years, are a natural ongoing extension to her fun loving style and panache. By 2008, Samantha had diversified, using her imagination in Medias such as lino print, lead lighting and fiber art, and looks forward to a whole new career with enthusiasm and promise.
