EXCAVATION
EXCAVATION: The Armory Exhibition 2012 presents works by artists associated with Newington Armory’s artistic program since its inception in 2005.
Presented at the Armory Gallery, itself a former armaments storehouse transformed into an art space, EXCAVATION explores connections between the conceptual methodologies and formal experiments of contemporary artists and the significant history of land reclamation, industrial activity, adaptive re-use and urban development on the Newington and Homebush estates over the course of more than two centuries.
