Born in Brisbane, Pamela has a Diploma in Visual Arts, and partial Associate Dip Creative Arts where she studied under Australian Artist William Robinson in the 80’s. In the 90’s Pam built a small art business "Final Touch-decorative Art”, painting commissions, house portraits and teaching art. She returned to study and painting on canvas in 2006 and when researching and illustrating her project book “My Brisbane” in 2006, she rediscovered the joys of being “a tourist in her own town” and what little she knew about it. From that turning point, her art blossomed with the community project and series “Mitchie Turns 150”, in 2007. That energy and creativity, combining history and landscape, expanded through to her "Qld 150" series in 2009 with "Impact on Moreton Bay" unveiling Pam's work as a Tattersalls Landscape Art Prize Finalist. Pam continues to explore more deeply the spirit of the places she visits. The "My Town" 2011 series in the aftermath of the Brisbane Floods celebrated community, and "Coast to Home" 2012 explored Queenslanders' love affair with the beach. Being a tourist in her own country was inspiring and endlessly rewarding, and her 2013 solo exhibition “Take Me There” summarised that. “In My Backyard”2014 was a closer look at Brisbane character housing and 2015 finds Pamela connecting closer with her celtic heritage in her upcoming exhibition “The Way Back Home”. Pam paints commissions, which provides an opportunity to travel others' journeys and experience shared stories. The focal point of Pam's year is her annual solo exhibition. Currently representations with the following Galleries:
Brisbane Modern Art Gallery, Fortitude Valley … Main Street Gallery, Montville, Sunshine Coast … Manly Art Gallery
